So far this is my favorite book I have read. There were so many times in this book where I would think something is insignificant, but every detail is meticulously placed to show the real downfall of Jack's psyche. Every time I read this I wish the movie had portrayed it more accurately, but Kubrick's interpretation stands well on its own.
